 For Sarah Hemphill
For Sue Carrington

These are my ICADs as a work in progress.  Unfortunately the photos of the finished products didn't turn out and I had added some metal stuff and mounted them on card, but the I know Sarah liked hers and I haven't heard from Sue.  I tried to make them a little bit of my life and a little bit of Australia.  Thanks again Ingrid for the great challenge.
We caught the 9.03 train to Footscray
 Had coffee & almond croissant
 Chris at the market
 Little Saigon Market
Things we never see in Ballarat
 And more...
Home and the fire is alight
The dog is on the couch
 The room has afternoon sunlight
 All around.....
Tim is playing Spider Solitaire & drinking tea
 This is my market haul
 Can I come back in?
A wedding card for Trudy's grandaughter
The chooks like to lay in this bin
The ducks want to go to the dam

Just after some food

The dam is down there somewhere
 The morning haul
 I am making a proscuitto
 Cleaned up haul
Just a bit inside
I thought it might be nice to share some of my day.
We walk first thing every morning.
 Too early for the birds
A bit misty down in the chook yard
We love to sniff in the front paddock
Mr Gobbles struts his stuff

I have received my first ICAD and it is GORGEOUS!!!  Thanks so much Sue for the lovely work, and thanks Astrid for setting up this swap.  Mine will be posted today, one to the UK and one to USA - how cool is this swapping little pieces of art.....

These scans don't really show the glow and shimmer of these works.  Did I mention they are gorgeous...

Oh it looks like this is working again,  I actually tried to post something and just went around in circles so we'll see what happened.  On the home front it's mating season and there are goose wars on the dam and in the yard.  Some are allowed in the shed and some aren't so it's a bit stressful keeping everyone safe.  Not much time for crafting lately but this is going to be a wet weekend so maybe tomorrow might be the day.  This is the card I made for Marjie, and another one for a black & white card swap.

I have been doing "Pattern Play", an online class with patterned paper as the theme.  Here is one effort.

I made a similar one for my mother with "MUM" written on it, but I have posted that already.  This paper is from Authentique and it's called "Gathering".

Obviously I am not a dedicated blogger.  The geese are fully grown and we have inherited some bantams from a friend who moved.  They are very funny and, I suspect, a little inbred.  Our little rooster was very happy to see them, but Gobbles (the turkey) is not keen.  One rooster jumped the fence and we couldn't get him back in, next morning he was just a little pile of feathers.  A salutory lesson to everyone else who now queue to get back in the yard after a day of scratching up the orchard.  I made a few cards for some friends, I have played some very bad bridge and some very good bridge, Tim has played some wonderful bridge and altogether we spend too much time on bridge.  We are also painting the outside of the house, have ripped up some very tacky slate near the front door and are ready to concrete that area.  So we haven't been doing nothing.  This wedding card didn't scan so well, but Shannon's grandmother was pleased with it.  Perhaps I might get to doing this more thatn once every 3 months when the cold weather comes.
